BALA THA MASTA'S WRESTLING NEWS
WWF NEWS Sable will be doing a photo shoot for the March 22, 1999 issue of TV Guide sometime later on this week. The March 22, 1999 issue of TV Guide is scheduled to plug WrestleMania 15: The Raging Climax. Also, Sable has recently been training in the gym and at the WWF training camp with Terri Powers (Sable "sister") to set up upcoming matches with her and a feud with her as well. Apparently, Sable is still not willing to take big bumps in the ring and is not making a full commitment to take any, and because of this, look for Terri Powers to take the WWF Women's strap sometime during their feud. Finally, Dave Meltzer stated in the latest issue of the Wrestling Observer newsletter that Sable will not be wrestling much in the next few month, only 1 match, which is scheduled to be at WrestleMania 15, probably against Terri Powers. The WWF will also be plugging the April 1999 issue of Playboy Magazine with Sable in it around WrestleMania time (around the time of Sable's match with Terri Powers) so the issue will get even more copies sold. The issue is scheduled to be released around March 7-9.

* Look for "Doctor Death" Steve Williams to soon return to the WWF with an anti-USA gimmick. He will apparently be supporting Japan and look for him to join up with Sho Funaki and Taka Michinoku (when Williams comes back into the WWF Taka's short ECW deal is supposed to end and he should return to the WWF) and form a Japan-only stable. He will apparently feud with Bart Gunn upon his return as well.

* Kevin Nash News
Besides WCW booker Kevin Nash announcing to wrestlers in a meeting held on the 2/1 Nitro that they must get to the arenas for Nitro events earlier for pre-produced segments, interviews, angles, etc. when told to do so and no fussing about finishes of matches, he also announced the establishment of a new hotline wrestlers can call to see if they are booked for a show.
Keller says there was a lot of snickering among wrestlers that Nash was able to explain things with a straight face when saying not to be tardy and no fussing about doing jobs, given his reputation in those areas.
Speaking of Nash, his recent heat with Konnan has decreased. Since siding with Hollywood Hogan, Buff Bagwell, Scott Steiner, Scott Hall, and Lex Luger, Nash wasn't a close ally with Konnan as he use to be, but Konnan now feels that his current position in WCW is much better than looking like a side-kick of a main eventer.
Nash will be moving from Phoenix, Arizona to a home on a Florida beach very soon.
Nash and Luger will take on Konnan and Rey Mysterio, Jr. at Super Brawl IX on 2/21 in a match where Elizabeth's hair is on the line and Mysterio's mask is on the line. It is deeply rumored Mysterio will lose the mask. [Joe De Leon,RWIN]
* Unsurprisingly, Hollywood Hogan is refusing to job cleanly to Ric Flair at the WCW February 22, 1999 Superbrawl 9 PPV. Hollywood Hogan will be facing "Nature Boy" Ric Flair in the main event of that PPV for the WCW World Heavyweight Title. Apparently, since Hogan has so much power in WCW, any one other than Eric Bischoff can not really overrule his decision. However, if enough people join together and make Hogan realize that it'll be a better decision, he may finally realize that they are right as Flair draws HUGE ratings while Hogan draws viewers AWAY from the program.

* ECW House Show Results from Raleigh, North Carolina - February 7, 1999 [Results by Dave Scherer]
 Results saw Balls Mahoney and Super Nova defeated Little Guido and Tracy Smothers. Match started out as Nova vs. Guido with continuous interference
 by Tommy Rich and Tracy Smothers. Nova went to the back and got Mahoney and it turned into a tag. Good southern style match.
 Danny Doring and Amish Roadkill defeated Chris Chetti and Tommy Rogers. Decent match especially when Rogers was in.
 Next up was an interview with Joel Gertner and The Dudleys challenging Sabu and Rob Van Dam. New Jack came out with weapons and cleaned house. He did a balcony dive on Gertner through a table. This got the biggest pop of the whole show. Sabu and Rob Van Dam came out and brawled with the Dudleys. Afterward, there was intermission with Francine signing autographs.
 Yoshihiro Tajiri beat Super Crazy with a bridged German Suplex. Great match. Crowd wasn't into it at first when they were doing matwork but got brought into as soon as they started doing the crazy dives. Huge pop came when Tajiri did his Tarantula hold. Both men threw some seriously stiff kicks. Both got a standing ovation afterwards. Only drawback was it was too short (about 10 minutes).
 Taz beat an unnamed masked guy in about 15 seconds. Total squash.
 One Man Gang beat Tommy Dreamer with interference by Justin Credible. Total brawl all over the building. One Man Gang juiced (only blood on the show). Gang got no reaction at all when he came out which is surprising since he was one of the top heels in Mid Atlantic years ago.
 Jerry Lynn beat Justin Credible (with Jason and Jasmine) with help from Tommy Dreamer. Best match on the show with lots of dives into the crowd and solid matwork. Jerry Lynn is one of the most underrated guys in the business. Lynn had Jasmine set up for a piledriver and Credible hit him
